On the 29th of Mai 1924 an aircraft the 6 Escadrille flown bij Pilote Lieutenant Lassene flew over Kasbah Tadla in Morocco. On bord was a passenger Mr. Flandrin.
We knew this because aerial photographs were taken during the event.
What makes one these photographs interesting is the fact that the location of the cantonnement of the Bataillon of the French Foreign Legion is nicely indicated in inkt on the photograph with the number 9-10-11.
I searched for postcards depicting the camp of the legion from that period but these seemed not to have been issued.
What I did find was this nice photograph made in 1920 that depicts building from Camp Nord.
Still need to figure out in which direction this image is faced.
