1950 Extrait du Livret Individuel, RENOUL Georges Mle 76492

Introduction

If the instructions, in small print, on this document had been followed it should have been destroyed after Legionnaire 2e class RENOUL, Georges was released from service.
This clearly did not happen and as such it was in 2024 offered for sale on Delcampe.
An Extrait du Livret Individuel was as the names already reveals a foldable leaflet with some essential data, predominantly of the unit assignment of a soldier.
Based on the information on this Extrait du Livret Individuel Georges RENOUL joint the French Foreign Legion in 1950, based on his No Matricule 76492 around August.
He was first incorporated in the Compagnie de Passage No 3 and after that to respectively the units C.I.T., C.B.2 and Compagnie de Passage No 4.
This last unit I think was the unit in which legionnaires were placed shortly before their release.
Since there are no other active units registered , It raises the impression Georges RENOUL only served for a short period in the Legion.
